Helpful Dancers
MHDC is committed to creating well-rounded dancers by way of community service. We believe to create strong human beings, we cannot only teach through physical strength, but strength in the form of giving. We are dedicated to helping in the community through different fundraising events and in a variety of charities. MHDC has donated to Make- A- Wish Foundation, Relay for Life for American Cancer Society, American Heart Society, Second Harvest Food Bank, and many more. If you or your dancer would like to sponsor a community service endeavor, please contact MHDC.
Tina Ross Afternoon in the Park Performance
Tina Ross was an influential member of the Mint Hill Community as someone who was the definition of service to others. She served on many boards, at her church, and all around town for anyone who needed help. She never left a conversation without touching someone's heart and was one of the kindest individuals on this planet. Tina Ross is honored by the Town of Mint Hill with a day in the park with many vendors supporting the event. Miss Whitleigh was honored to be awarded the Tina Ross Award by the Mint Hill Chamber of Commerce in 2021. We are so excited to perform at the Tina Ross Day in the Park on October 1, 2023. We hope to see you there.
Annual Second Harvest Food Bank Food Drive
We are so thrilled to support Second Harvest Food Bank with out annual Food Drive! Our goal is 2,000 pounds following our 2019 record donation of over 1,900 pounds of food donated. Dancers are encouraged to ask friends and families for donations instead of parents supplying donations. We encourage the act of service to help others in need. Please bring in your items into the office to be counted by staff- winner who donates the most will receive two tickets to the Charlotte Ballet's Nutcracker! Food Drive starts October 1, 2022 and ends December 10, 2022.
